For those of you who are jonesing to go skiing and snowboarding this season, but don't have access to a car, fear not. There are several companies that offer bus, lift-ticket, rental, and lesson combintaions for a great price. Hunter Mountain isn't Vail or Whistler, but it'll cure those powder blues if you need a fix.
Blades Board and Skate offers a trip to Hunter Mtn every Saturday and Sunday leaving at 6:30 and 7:00 am, depending on the pick up place. Prices start at $69.95 for round trip bus, lift-ticket, bagel breakfast, and kick ass movies. Reservations can be made online at http://www.bladesnyc.com/.

NYC Ski & Board offers a similar package leaving from Union Sq. (Walgreens at 14th st and 4th ave) at 6:15am and then Penn Station (Duane Reade on 8th ave between 33rd and 34th sts) at 6:20am. More info at http://www.nycski.com/trips.php.
