Canadians Unite

If you're a Canadian living in NYC, there are some great things going on. For a country of only 30 million people, it seems they are well organized when transplanted to another country.

Two sites that brings all backgrounds together, whether you're from Toronto or Saskatoon, are the Upper North Side http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/uppernorthside/calendar-en.asp, and The Canadian Association of NY http://www.canadianassociationny.org/.

My favorite group of Canadians are the alumni from McGill University. Their members have been very active in organizing everything from ski trips to pub/club nights. You can see a list of events at http://www.mcgillnyc.com/index.php?s=events&l=eng.

So, if you're Canadian, it's worth checking out. Even if you're not Canadian, but want to meet a good group of fun loving people who have more to offer than hockey and beer, then here are some options.
